Sharon Mustard Headshot

Sharon

I am a fully qualified Hypnotherapist, Psychotherapist, Counsellor and Life Coach with extensive experience across the mental health sector, including roles within Social Services, the NHS, and the voluntary sector.

Alongside my general psychotherapy practice, I am the founder and director of easibirthing® Fertility to Parenthood. Through this work, I support women and their partners using Hypnosis and Psychotherapy for fertility, pregnancy, hypnobirthing, postnatal mental health, and parenting. I also ran a specialist training school for therapists for 17 years.

I am an accredited member of the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP), a Fellow of the National Society of Hypnosis and Psychotherapy, and registered with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC). I adhere to all professional codes of ethics, including ongoing supervision, professional indemnity insurance, and continuous professional development. I am also a registered consultant for BUPA, AXA, AVIVA, and WPA private healthcare clients.

I hold the UKCP Child and Adolescent Proficiency Marker and have extensive experience working with children and young people aged 8–18. From 2012 to 2021, I managed the counselling service at Godolphin School in Salisbury, Wiltshire.

I am an Honorary Fellow of the National Society for Talking Therapies and was the first recipient of the Brookhouse and Biddle Award for contribution to hypnosis and psychotherapy in 2019. I am also an appointed practitioner for South Wiltshire and West Hampshire within the Brookhouse Hypnotherapy Group.

I am a mother of three and a grandparent of three. My professional passion for birth, parenting, and family relationships is rooted in my upbringing within a large extended family in rural Northern Ireland.

Stewart

I am a registered member of ‘The National Society of Talking Therapies’ and ‘Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council’. My training is also accredited by the ‘National College of Hypnosis and Psychotherapy’. As a member of these organisations, I am required to abide by their Code of Ethics and Practice. This includes undertaking regular supervision, having appropriate professional insurance and being committed to continued professional development. I have worked in Hypnotherapy, Psychotherapy and Counselling for over 10 years. Prior to that, I worked in social care for over 25 years, in social services, local authorities and charities; gaining experience with a wide range of individuals including children and young people, people with learning disabilities, those with a history of addictions, dual diagnosis and sufferers of mental ill health. I have a specialist interest in working with anxiety, depression, self harm and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). I also deal with issues around weight loss and control, compulsive and excessive eating, stress management, performance anxiety, stopping smoking, fears and phobias – although this list is not exhaustive. I continue to keep abreast of all developments in the fields of Hypnotherapy, Psychotherapy and Counselling in order to offer a continually improving and therefore effective and caring service to all clients in and around the Salisbury area.

Free Initial Consultation

Prior to starting treatment, we offer all clients the opportunity of having a free 30 minutes initial consultation on request. This can either take place in our Salisbury practice in-person, online or by telephone. The purpose of this is to enable you as a prospective client to make an informed decision as to whether to enter a course of treatment.

It also helps the therapist to decide whether therapy is appropriate for the presenting issue you want assistance with.

We will not be providing therapy in the initial consultation.

Following the consultation, there is no obligation to begin treatment.

Session Length & Frequency

Session length is 1 hour; although for some types of treatment this can be lengthened by agreement if felt beneficial by both parties. Sessions are usually held once a week/fortnight but the frequency of sessions will be discussed at your first appointment. Sessions for young people and children from age 8 to 16 are usually 45 minutes length.

Concessionary Rate

For those who are on a low income, we will be happy to discuss a minor reduction in charges, please get in touch to discuss your personal requirements.
